Just another vinyl addict that owes my knowledge and great love of music to many many people including my father, my uncle, and my friends and co-collectors in Austin, TX. Thanks everyone. This is in no way a claim to be an expert in anything but just a site devoted to sharing somethings I love.
Hi Everyone and greeting from the United Arab Emirates where I have been living for the past year. In an attempt to keep my sanity I began blogging about my records awhile back but the whole project got deleted when some of my students stumbled on to it and saw pictures of half naked black women. Well, I quit now so let em gawk. Back to business..
This was on my old blog but there are so few copies that it deserves reposting so people can access it. I have very little information about this record. I do know that it is not the same band that recorded on ABC Peacock and I do know that it is an Indiana record. Also the group backing up the singers is the Ebony Rhythm Band, who released their own super rare funk gem called, "Soul Heart Transplant" among others.
This is a gospel cover of the Sam and Dave classic, "Hold I'm Comin'" b/w an amazing ballad called "Forever" which is derivative but I can't figure out if it is a cover or not.
A big thank you to Friends of Sound records in Austin for connecting me with this centerpiece for my 45 collection.
