Ain't No Water In Hell: Track 2

Another gospel record picked up at FOS records in Austin. For me this is actually an interesting choice because this record was released in 1977 which is around 4 years later than 95% of my records and by far the latest Gospel/Soul/Funk/R&B record I have. I think the only record I have later than this is Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen (Don't hate.)

The Brooklyn All-Stars, like many bands, have been around in some form or another for a LONG time. They started around 1950 and I believe stopped playing actively sometime in the early 90's. Long-time residents on the Jewel label, the All-Stars made a few singles for Peacock in the late 50's. This record, "I Don't Wanna Do Wrong" is from the lp, "Ain't No Water in Hell." Hope you like it.

Ain't No Heaven in Hell Track 1

I cannot express how much I love this track. The whole LP is amazing and I have Coolhands to thanks for it. This record is pretty rare and my copy is not in great shape but it's good enough to hear how good it is.

THE TRUMPETAIRES OF MOBILE ALABAMA on HSE: I'm On My Way To A City"

I think this is a good way to start this sucker off.

The music really speaks for itself and it will have to because I know very little about this record. As usual, anyone with info, please hit me up!

Ain't No Heaven in Hell: Draft Volume 1

So thanks to everyone who has helped me find great gospel records.. big love to Coolhands at Friends of Sound (South Congress, Austin) for really pointing me in some great directions and providing me with several of these records. Here is a big file that will take you awhile to download.. it has every song on the draft of volume 1.
